Contract Type - Permanent

Working Pattern – 40 hours per week (Hybrid)

Salary – £32,000 - 36,000

About the role 

To work closely with Estimating, Commercial and Delivery teams to maximise the subcontract procurement opportunities and deliver a best-in-class service to our clients.
 

Responsibilities

  • Support the subcontract tendering process through early engagement, by issuing detailed package enquiries to subcontractors in line with company procedures.
  • Carry out negotiations, analyse quotes and provide recommendations to promote best value.
  • Establish a clear understanding of the project objectives whilst driving innovative solutions.
  • Carry out compliance checks with new and existing supply chain partners.
  • Placement of materials, plant and subcontract orders ensuring they are processed on time and in budget.
  • Monitor performance of the supply chain and carry out reviews.
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post
     

What we need from you

  • NEC contract experience
  • Excellent Communication & Negotiation skills
  • Subcontract procurement experience in a construction related environment.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement approach through proactive collaboration.


What we would like from you

  • Knowledge of the UK Water sector supply chain
  • CIPS
