Location – Peterborough

Working Pattern – Site based (Mon - Fri)

Salary – £37,000 per annum

About the role - Quality Engineer

Our client is a leading organisation in the manufacturing industry. With their commitment to producing high-quality products and their focus on continuous improvement, they have built a strong reputation in the market. They are now seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join their team in Peterborough.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating plant activities to meet customer needs
  • Driving continuous improvement in product quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery performance
  • Ensuring compliance with the Quality Control Plan and maintaining process control parameters
  • Monitoring and ensuring the quality of incoming raw materials
  • Proactively resolving quality issues during production runs
  • Developing strong customer and supplier relationships
  • Managing customer complaints and implementing preventive measures
  • Utilising Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Continuous Improvement techniques to improve quality performance
  • Analysing and reporting on the costs of non-quality
  • Championing Food Safety and quality improvement initiatives

 

What we need from you

  • Degree level qualification in Quality or Industrial Engineering OR 3+ years of experience as a Quality Auditor in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and process capability
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Proficiency in using quality and continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Previous experience in problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and process capability
