Work pattern: Continental shift pattern including days & nights (12 hour shifts) 4 on 4 off

About the role

Responsible for delivery of the site production plan, whilst ensuring our people are kept safe, well and competent. To develop a continuous improvement culture that results in high performance. Supporting and driving improvement plans, delivering site budgets and keeping our customers happy.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and deliver the site labour Standard, managing overtime figures in line with budget.
• Ensure our people are trained to run the lines efficiently and to legal requirements.
• Keep our people safe, ensure Risk Assessments, Safety Inspections and Accident Investigations are completed to the correct standard and timescales.
• Manage absence to deliver budget absence.
• Ensure correct skills level are obtained
• Manage Holiday Requests
• Resolve any Time & Attendance or Payroll queries

What we need from you

• Experience of managing a production area/multiple lines in a 24/7 environment
• Experience of operating in a traditional employee relations climate/ heavily Unionised environment
• Experience of working within a continuous improvement culture, preferably six sigma black belt 
• Proven results of improving line capability (efficiency, reduction of waste)
• Experience of maximising the potential of others including development and performance management
• Has the development potential to progress beyond this role. 
• Operated in a branded manufacturing business as a custodian of major brands
