About the role 

The purpose of this role is to ensure successful delivery on site of a range of gravity and pressurised wastewater systems solutions projects. The role covers the projects in Hampshire and West Sussex.

 

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Construction Operations Lead the Site Agent will support the Project Managers in delivery of projects for our Southern Water framework, to deliver successful, safely executed, high quality projects in Hampshire and West Sussex.
  • Managing delivery on site, direction and supervision of direct operatives, subcontractors and suppliers; plant and materials requisitions; all while ensuring safe practices are implemented at all stages.
  • Inputting and working to the project programme, in accordance with the clients expectations and the requirements of CDM i.e. allowing sufficient time to safely plan and deliver works.
  • Sharing information with the wider team to support work planning and obtaining and working in accordance with licences and permits as required to deliver the project.
  • Working in line with CDM requirements including CPP, RAMS etc.
  • Documenting and reporting progress on site and completing site records required by the client.
  • Reviewing customer impacts on site and escalating any issues to the Project Manager or CBUL Customer Stakeholder Manager. Engaging positively with customers and stakeholders encountered in the course of works.
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post

 

What we need from you

  • Previous experience in Civil Engineering or utility sector site management
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM
  • Operational and commercial awareness within the civil infrastructure or utilities environment

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Relevant industry qualification (HND/ HNC/ BEng) or equivalent
  • SMSTS qualification
  • Valid Driving Licence

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor
  • Health, Safety and Environmental Management (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate)
  • NEBOSH
  • First Aid at work (3 day)
  • Water/utility network experience
